Floreant POS, a popular open-source point of sale system designed specifically for restaurants, bars, pizza shops, gas stations, and light retail stores. It offers a complete hospitality solution, catering to the needs of small cafes, dine-in establishments, and large chains with multi-user and multi-hosted operations. With its user-friendly interface, Floreant POS allows food servers to easily create, edit, merge, split, void, reorder, and process payouts for tickets, whether in a sit-down restaurant, drive-through, takeout, or delivery setting. The manager facilities enable easy operation of drawer pulls, drawer bleeds, credit card tip payments, and receipt printing for reports. Using the kitchen print feature, instructions can be routed to designated kitchen printers and wastage can be tracked. The backoffice function allows for efficient management of food menus, special packages, beverages, modifiers, and cooking instructions, along with handling forced beverage orders by guest count and shift-wise pricing. The system also supports various payment methods, including cash, cards, discounts, gift cards, and coupons. For accurate financial tracking, Floreant POS offers comprehensive MIS reports, including sales summary and detail reports, hourly income report, gratuity (tips) report, drawer pulls, and credit card reports. Built on robust technology, this client-server POS is powered by Java DB or Apache Derby, Java, Hibernate, and JavaPOS API. It has been tested on multiple terminals running on Windows, Linux, and Mac 10.x operating systems.
